Own Goals

The Thing Is…

I aim to add content on this site as well as write my own projects. As a teenager, I had dexterity, mobility and other health “issues”. Which makes it all the more remarkable, and gratifying, that I became a Primary School Teacher, raised a family, took part in various community groups, then, when my lack of health really took a hold, I retired from teaching and became a book reviewer and catalogue content writer

What Has Happened?

Nothing much, where my writing life is concerned. Scribbles in notebooks, thoughts muddling in my mind, general malaise and lack of enough energy to write. I’m motivated but motionless.

A New Plan

Keep going. My goals are the same but I really must nail the ability to

ACCEPT MY LIMITATIONS and
EMBRACE THE REST & RECUPERATION.

I’ve been reading, watching TV, films, listening to music, generally absorbing the word around me – while not going out – and not giving up. Giving in is not the same as letting go of all my aims, dreams and goals. It just means the journey is circuitous, even tortuous, but I will write.
